Trail Blazers is located just 90 minutes from New York City in Sussex County, NJ.
Our 1000 forested acres, including 55-acre Lake Mashipacong and a high and low-ropes course, are the perfect setting for a fun-filled and educational experience for school trips, youth-team building retreats, picnics, campouts, birthday parties, and environmental education workshops.
We welcome schools, churches, youth development groups, and nonprofit organizations full days, weekends, and week-long stays.
Our four core values – respect for one’s self, respect for others, respect for the community, and respect for the environment – guide all aspects of our program, ensuring that your students are growing and learning in the process of having an amazing time. Everything we do is modeled after 130 years of experience designing exciting summer camp programs.
Our trips are custom designed for each school and we will work together to design the perfect day for your group. We are a rain or shine program – there is no such thing as bad weather, right? Our programs are designed to promote critical thinking and a sense of wonder for the world around us, and are aligned with Common Core Standards for Literacy in Science and Technical Subjects (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Your trip will be centered on outdoor activities, and environmental science, with any additional preferences built in. We can run the entire day for you, or can build in for your staff to lead portions of the day.
More than ever, our programs push each of us to connect with our communities on a deeper level and embrace the notion that it truly does take a village to raise a child. We offer day trips and overnight trips for your school, read on for more details on each.
Spend your day at camp with your class or group on 1000 acre of untouched nature.
Groups can plan their own activities or choose from the following activities, which are guided by our trained and certified staff. All activities are weather-permitting.
Overnight trips are offered as well, adding a unique element to your group’s experience.
